Yes, Dr. Dea practices General Internal Medicine as well as Pulmonary/Critical Care. Exceptions are: Dr. Dea can only see patients with HMO insurance as a specialist. Dr. Dea cannot accept new patients who primarily need pain management or are dependent on opioid or other controlled medications.

1. Medicare (primary) or Medicare Advantage PPO plans, including Motion Picture Industry Medicare PPO.

2. Most commercial PPO plans, including Blue Cross, Blue Shield, Champus, Aetna, HealthNet and Cigna. We can see Motion Picture Industry/Industry Health Network patients with referral from a primary care provider.

3. We can see HMO patients for pulmonary consultations under Lakeside/Regal and HealthCare Partners/Optum with a referral from a primary care provider.

4. We can see patients for pulmonary consultations under Workman's Compensation insurance if authorized .

Yes, we can provide video/telehealth consultations and visits. We use the Doximity system so you need to have a smartphone available and have a strong cellular or Wi-Fi connection. The system will text you when we are ready to start your video visit. The system is HIPAA compliant and entirely secure.
